Monterosa furthers its commitment to environment and sustainability in India
Zurich, 30 March 2009
Monterosa Group, the independent financial service provider to global players active in India and Asian markets, announced today that it had achieved carbon neutral for its all business operations in Zurich for the year of 2008 by financially supporting a wind farm project in India.
The project, a boundled wind farm project in Maharashtra State in India, is being verified as a Gold Standard voluntary emission reduction (VER) project. The project activity consists of the installation of wind turbines with 1.25 MW capacity each, amounting to a total of 10 MW generation capacity on two different sites in Dhule district in Maharashtra. The employed technology is still comparatively new and long-term financial viability remains crucial for the realization of the project. Additional investment from Monterosa helped ensure the project’s implementation.
